BISE: ISS Data Collection

Final Data Collection

BISE conducted its final post-flight data collection at Houston this week. The last two astronaut subjects were tested in their final data collection session on Tuesday. Data analysis and the parallel ground-based study continue.

Post-flight data collection in Ottawa

Although data collection normally takes place in Houston or at ESA, a number of BISE subjects were scheduled to take part in a Canadian tour this May. Given the relative portability of the BISE experimental hardware it was possible to deploy the necessary equipment to a hotel in Ottawa to perform data collection.

TMA-18 launch
Friday April 2, 2010
TMA-18 launched for the International Space Station on Friday April 2 2010. TMA-18 carried Tracy Caldwell, a BISE subject, to the ISS.
